Karin joined The Hechtman Group in 2002, and has been a partner with the firm since 2012. Karin specializes in Individual and Trust taxation and is also the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.
Karin began her career at Arthur Andersen where she focused on Small Business and
S-corporations. She went on to work for other smaller accounting firms where she broadened her expertise to include individual taxation and family wealth planning. A graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Karin is a CPA, member of the AICPA, the Illinois CPA Society, and the Wisconsin CPA Society.
Karin takes time to get to know each client personally and sees each client as a mutual partner, a value the entire firm embraces. Karin also considers the team at THG to be family. Karin and her husband Dan live in Winfield with their 100-pound Newfoundland Macie. When Karin can sneak away from work, she tries to visit their four children who are currently living in four different states (Arizona, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Carolina).
