Meet HR Assistant Kelly Knoerr, who joined The Hechtman Group in 2024. In her role, Kelly supports the Human Resources department with daily activities and new initiatives. She is excited to learn about different areas of human resources and explore the possibilities for growth within the field.
Originally from Winfield, Illinois, Kelly graduated from the University of Iowa in 2023 with a major in business management on the human resources track and minored in psychology and sport recreation management. A motivated learner, she also earned a certificate in event management during this time.
Now a valued member of The Hechtman Group team, Kelly describes the company as “driven and innovative with a strong emphasis on nurturing the culture.” She was drawn to the firm for its dynamic environment and the opportunities for professional development.
Before joining The Hechtman Group, Kelly had an interesting internship in property management in Dublin, Ireland. She lived there for eight weeks and had the chance to explore the culture and travel around the country.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and taking her Newfoundland dog Macie for walks. Her favorite travel destinations are Italy and Scotland, which she describes as two of the prettiest places she has ever visited.
